How to Look Younger Tomorrow!

Most of us are always on the lookout for ways to look younger.  Here are a few quick and easy tips to help you look your best.

 

Hair

Great-looking hair is one way to stay youthful looking.  Consider mousse as your go-to styling product.  It’s lighter than many other products and tends to be better at delivering volume and lifting your roots.

 

Another way to add volume is to blow dry your hair upside down, especially after you’ve worked your mousse from the roots to the ends.  A round brush is the best kind of brush for adding volume.  Start off by brushing the hair in the opposite direction of where it will lay.  Brushing while blow drying will give you an even bigger boost.

 

To keep hair healthy and repair damage done by styling gadgets, consider giving yourself a hot-oil treatment weekly.  Jojoba oil is a great choice and can be found at most drugstores and super stores these days.  To help minimize damage from blow drying, look for a blow dryer with a cool-shot setting, which will blast a bit of cooler air after drying to lessen the negative effects of heat.

 

Eyes

Our eyes can definitely show our age.  A good concealer applied rather generously from the inner corner around to the outer corner can help minimize dark circles.  Pat and press concealer–don’t rub it in as this can be damaging to the sensitive skin in the eye area.  If you still see too much darkness after the first layer of concealer, apply a second before setting the concealer with powder that matches your foundation.

 

Tea bags (with caffeine) can perk up tired eyes by shrinking the blood vessels that cause darkness and by forcing out some of the fluid that causes puffiness.  Soak the tea bags for a minute or so in hot water, then plunge into ice water briefly before putting them over your eyes for 15 minutes.

 

Teeth

Teeth that aren’t as white as they could be can definitely make us look older than we are–or at least older than we want people to think we are.  A simple paste of baking soda and water can remove superficial stains and provide a shade or two of whitening when used once a week.

 

If coffee, red wine, and/or tea are mainstays for you, you might already know that they can stain teeth.  Try rinsing your mouth with plain water after drinking one of these beverages or following your beverage with crunchy food (like raw vegetables) to help brush away staining agents.

 

While you work on whitening your teeth, consider lip colors with bluer undertones.  These tend to make teeth look whiter, whereas colors with gold or yellow undertones tend to highlight any tooth yellowing.

 

Body


Keeping your body well hydrated can keep your skin softer, smoother, brighter and overall younger looking.  Staying hydrated also minimizes belly bloat.  You can also try a corset or waist trainer to give yourself a classic hourglass figure.  In addition to getting plenty of water every day, a balanced diet full of fresh veggies and fruits combined with getting regular exercise is another way to keep yourself feeling and looking years younger than your actual age.
